Medina County Women's Club

Great Women…..Worthy Causes…..Good Fun!

Meet our 2012 Charities . . .

Medina County Women's Club is proud to introduce our
2012 beneficiary:

Giving back to our community is what we do best!  Each year, we accept dozens of applications from local non-profit organizations.  Our membership then votes for the charity which we commit to support through our fundraising efforts throughout the year.  We hope that you take the time to get to know this organization and understand their importance in our community.  We appreciate your participation in our fundraising events, which are always open to the public.  Please be sure to check the ‘FUNdraisers’ page for more information on how you can get involved.

Feeding Medina County

Feeding Medina County was started in 2001 and they are mainly a volunteer organization.  Their programs provide low income children and seniors with nutritious meals.  Some of the programs are as follows:

The Weekender:  Providing lunches to at risk school aged children during weekends and school breaks.

Kid's Cafe:  Provides a meal once per day during longer school breaks such as Christmas and Summer.

There is another program that delivers groceries from the Akron food bank to area Seniors who either cannot physically get out to purchase fresh groceries or are financially unable to do so.
They also work very closely with the Farmer's Markets and area food pantries.

An alarming 27-34% of children and seniors in the county are in need!

This year I would like us to get to know the people behind the organization.

Let's get involved in their cause!
